Spelling - study your words
Reading- We started Lit Circles and have assigned books.  The Bridge to Terabithia group read the next two chapters, write down any words you do not understand so we may discuss, and draw a picture of the story. James and the Giant Peach read chapters 6&7, Judy Moody read chapters 3&4.
Social Studies- Study SE region of the U.S.

Reminder...breakfast tomorrow (bring box of cereal)...roller skating party tomorrow...casual day (wacky tacky).

Good afternoon!  There is no homework tonight.

Reminders...tomorrow is a casual day...Catholic Schools week starts in earnest on Monday when we will be offering breakfast for any family who brings in a box of cereal (children cannot be dropped off without an adult family member)...Tuesday the penny drive ends...Thursday is a casual day and more importantly, the ROLLERSKATING party...Friday wraps up with the school carnival!
We will send out more info day by day.

Permission slips were sent home today for the rollerskating party.

Report cards will be available tomorrow on-line.  Reminder, no paper copies will be going home any longer in our effort to be more green.

Go to bed early and get a good breakfast...The children have MAPS testing tomorrow after Mass.

Reminders...4th-8th grade combined Spelling Bee is next week, January 17th...The top 5 spellers from our classroom spelling bee have moved on to this combined bee...If your child is one of the top 5 they should have let you know and have brought home their "study" list.  We will also be sending home a note tomorrow to inform you of their participation.

Happy New Year!  We hope you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas!  A BIG thank you to everyone for the beautiful Christmas gifts...we are humbled by your generosity and honored to teach your children.

Reminders...MAPS testing begins next week Monday, January 7th...If your child is interested in participating in the Science and Academic Fair, applications are due Monday the 7th.  They must be signed by a parent or guardian.  Please note, 4th grade is not required to participate in the S&A Fair.
